My daughter and her husband had their gender reveal party last night. Mellissa wouldn't let me make actual gender reveal cookies because she didn't want me to know the gender before her, but she let me choose the theme of the party (so I could make cookies) and I decided on "What Will It Bee". They had an ultrasound done and the doctor told them to look away during the part of the scan that would reveal the gender. Then the doctor put the results in a sealed envelope and my daughter took the envelope to the bakery. The bakery would then put either blue or pink icing in the middle of the cake based on what was inside the envelope. Once they cut into the cake in front of the family, we would all know if it was a boy or a girl. Pretty fun huh!
So what color was the icing in the middle of the cake? It was BLUE! Mellissa and Irik are going to have a bouncing baby BOY! Abigail will have a baby brother named Aidan! We're all very excited. And I made cookies and lots of new cookie cutters too .
