Cookies For Our Rival - Saint Francis!

Something is wrong with me. I know. Yesterday I made cookies for a friend at our rival school - Saint Francis! I decorated the cookies with the Saint Francis logo and everything. And last week I saw my friend, Lori, at a hockey game and I joined in cheering for their team, another rival - Mitty! The big problem is they were playing AGAINST Bellarmine! Yep, the coach even saw me. And they won.

If you know me, you know I'm not a "yes" girl. I don't change my views based on who I'm with. When I worked at Cisco, my team used to find great joy in bringing up a subject they knew I would be passionate about and try to argue the other side and watch me run with it. I think they just liked to antagonize me! It took me a long time to figure out that's what they were doing.

The cool thing is that while Saint Francis and Mitty are definitely rivals of our school, I have wonderful, incredible friends with kids there and that's all that matters. It's fun to be rivals. It's fun to share in their joy when they beat us. And yes, it's fun to win too ;-)

These cookies were for my friend Lisa and her daughter's Field Hockey team at Saint Francis.

I'm still trying to get caught up from working all last weekend at two volunteer events, so I'm sorry that I haven't been posting. We also still need to do another cookie challenge. If you're not on Facebook (Paula) and you want to join in (I want you to join in), send me your cookie photos via email and I'll post them on the blog. I'll post all the details for our next cookie challenge here tomorrow. Excited?

  1. Nothing like a little healthy competition and these cookies are great. Love the team's colours and great job on the jersey's detailing.
