Hanukkah Cookies

I'm trying to get the Cookie Challenge pictures out to y'all, but have worked on them for the last 3 1/2 hours and I'm not going to make it in time before Blogger automatically posts. Since I already had this Hanukkah one in the works, I'm sending this off before the deadline. I'm sorry I'm late on the cookie challenge pics and will work on them more tonight. In the meantime, hopefully these will hold you off just a bit ;-)

I made lots of Hanukkah cookies for my friend, Jill, that I didn't get a chance to post during the holidays. So here they are. I bought the main three cookie cutters at CopperGifts.com and then I also found the same three cookie cutters at Michaels.com so I have two sets in different sizes and tried out both.

Off for a bike ride...

  1. Very nice! You did a good job on the menorahs. I made Hanukkah cookies for one of my bosses but didn't make the menorah - I didn't think I could get those curved lines to look like they were supposed to. So I wimped out and made small round cookies, iced them in yellow, topped with gold sanding sugar and said they were gelt. They went perfectly with the dreidels I had made!

  2. @AnneGood job Anne. I didn't know what the lines were "supposed" to look like so I didn't feel too much pressure to get it right ;-)
