A friend of my husband asked if I would make cookies for his wife's birthday. She loves owls. A lot of people like owls. I have an owl cookie cutter, but it's smaller than I would prefer. I'm excited that I finally bought a new owl cookie cutter. It didn't come in time for these cookies, so now I'm extra excited to make owl cookies again soon. Since it was a birthday, I made both owls and birthday elements in Ben's wife's favorite colors (pink, yellow & black). Here's what I came up with:
I made quite a few owls
and then birthday cookies like cakes, cupcakes, presents and party hats
Cakes
Presents
Cupcakes
Party Hats
and of course owls
I had a lot of fun making these. My favorite is pink and lime green, but I enjoyed seeing how nicely that pinks and yellow went together too. I hope Liz had an awesome birthday!
I have lots more cookies to show you. I also want to do a COOKIE CHALLENGE. I'm going to do it a little differently this time - if I can figure it out. I'd like to do a link-up party for my son's birthday next week. My son will be turning 18 and we are taking him to Disneyland to celebrate, so the theme of the cookie challenge will be MICKEY MOUSE. Start making your Mickey Mouse cookies now and on Thursday or Friday next week, we will have a link up party to share all your designs! If you don't already have one, you can order a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter here from CheapCookieCutters.com!
Ooh and I just found out that Karrie & Chris of CheapCookieCutters.com have offered to send one lucky winner (chosen by Random.org) a free Mickey Mouse cookie cutter! How exciting!
