Valentines Day Cookies

I made lots of Valentines Day cookies, but you wouldn't know it because I've been quiet on Facebook and on my blog. Me ... quiet? Hubby says I'm too quiet, but we all know, he's just not really listening ;-) Anyway, I was quiet because we took the kids to Disneyland to celebrate my son's 18th birthday and when we got home it was a flurry of cookies to try to make some Valentine cookies before the holiday. I worked on cookies til 3 - 4am for 3 nights in a row, so you can see why I wasn't chatting on my FB page or here. Sorry for the absence, but I have lots of cookies to share with you to make up for it!
I made some Valentine hearts and decided to make them camouflage in Valentine colors. I got the idea from the adorable Jodi at Wonderland Cookie Company. She made some in Marine and Navy colors and I just loved the look of them. I took photos while making them so I'll have a tutorial for you tomorrow.
More camo and hearts
Chocolate covered strawberries - these are so fun!
Winged hearts. I was so excited to finally use this cutter. I received it as a gift and hadn't played with it yet!
Mailboxes. I love how these came out.
Valentine Cupcakes. Oops looks like I forgot to take photos of the present cookies. You can picture them in your head though right? ;-)
 Love Birds. I love these.
 Envelopes
Chocolate Kiss Candies
and a few risque cookies too. It's Valentines Day people!
So what did you do for Valentine's Day? I told hubby that I wanted him to take me to see the new Reese Witherspoon movie and to dinner too. When he got home from work and I had finally finished the cookies, I had no desire to go out. Instead I made homemade tacos for all the guys and we watched a sitcom. Pretty exciting huh? ;-)

  2. You are one crazy cookie lady to bake until 3-4 a.m. days on end! The cookies are all very cute but my favourites are the little love letter mail boxes.
