Love Birds For A Wedding with a STAMP

One of my cookie friends, Krista, of Drawn With Character, is making her artistry into stamps! They are available for purchase through Whimsy Stamps. I bought the Love Birds stamp and the Two Peas in a Pod stamp. My friend Anita of Sweet Hope Cookies used her big heart to come up with a fun group activity and invited a bunch of cookie decorators to participate to show Krista how much we enjoy her beautiful work. We all bought the stamp we wanted to work with and each made various projects using the stamp. Since my niece, Nicole, just got married a couple weeks ago, I decided to make a couple projects with Krista's love bird stamp.

The stamps can be used with an un-inked stamp pad with food color added to be used on a cookie or with a regular ink pad for cards or other craft projects. Each stamp also comes with a drawing to show the image.
So I made this love bird cookie for my niece and her new husband, Christian. They just got married a couple weeks ago and these cute love birds made me think of them. I bought a big bag of multiple colors of feathers for the backdrop. Hint... if you're working with artificial feathers, don't bother vacuuming BEFORE the project. Messy little suckers!
and then I made this framed project using various cardstock and piecing it all together and added a few of those blue feathers.
Just a fun little project for my niece and to support Krista's beautiful artwork.
You should head over to Sweet Hope Cookies Give-Away. It is a phenomenal prize package and even includes cookie cutters from Cristin's Cookies! Just click on the photo to be taken to the give-away. Enter by Friday afternoon!
Here are the love bird cookie cutters included in the give-away from Cristin's Cookies
Thank you Krista for sharing your gift of drawing talent and thank you to Anita for sharing your big heart and letting us all join in the group flash mob. I was out on a bike ride the other day and this song came on my iPod and it made me think of Anita and her big heart:

Maybe she's an angel
Sent here from Heaven
And she's making certain you're doing your best
To take the time to help one another
Brother are you going to pass that test
You can go on with your day to day
Trying to forget what you saw in her face
Knowing deep down it could have been her saving grace
What if she's an angel
