Cookie Challenge - Fall Cookies

Phew it's been a crazy busy week. My computer went down and I reformatted it with a new operating system, thus losing all my programs. Thankfully I had backed up all my documents, pictures and such onto an external drive, but the time spent moving everything back and attempting to find all my bookmarks has been a nightmare!

The cool thing is this week we did a fun COOKIE CHALLENGE! I love it when we all bake together even though we are all over the country. It makes me feel like we are baking and chatting and having fun together. I was hoping to make lots more Fall cookies, but I just didn't get a chance, so I'll be making more this week for my family. So here are the awesome designs that everyone came up with for our cookie challenge:

These are from Liz of CookiesToGo. I love the colors in the leaves and this also makes me want to make apple cookies.
Next are cookies from Marnie Brown. I love how these turned out with the multiple colors and those swirly cookies look delish!
Look at these adorable pumpkins from LaurasCookies! Absolutely gorgeous!
Next we have cookies from Stephanie of Ellie's Bites Decorated Cookies. Look at the detail in those flowers!
These cool pumpkins are from Kayla at Toss Your Cookies. She said she did some in Royal Icing and some in Glaze Icing. How cool to be able to work in different mediums like that! Love how they turned out.
Next up are cookies from Cheryl of The Sugared Apron. LOVE that scarecrow and the pies too!
Check out these fall leaves by Jennifer Hanson Gantt! Love all the colors and detail!
Then we have this collection of Fall cookies from Brandi of Joyful Cookies. Aren't they beautiful! I think I'm going to make a pilgrim hat out of my cowboy hat cookie cutter. Wish me luck ;-)
Next up is a collection of Fall cookies from Donna Farner Carroll. Her cookie name is Carroll's Cookies and she has gorgeous cookies. I love the two-toned leaves and the swirly on the sunflowers. You guys have all given me great ideas of what cookie cutters to add to my Fall collection!
Check out these fun acorns from Liz at CookiesToGo. She hand-cut these! I've never had luck with hand-cutting cookies, but she did a great job on these!
These aren't decorated cookies, but you have to admit they look very much like Fall cookies! These were made by Mary Ann Waldner and they have cranberries in the oatmeal cookies!
Next up we have cookies from Cindy of Cookie Cheers dotcom. I bought this corn cookie cutter and am anxious to try out a maize cookie. It looks very difficult with how detailed Cindy got hers!
Look at that tree! OMG what a fun idea! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this from Kate of Kooking in Kate's Kitchen. What a fantastic idea!
Cheryl was a busy gal this week at The Sugared Apron and we get the reward of seeing more of her beautiful cookies. Super cute acorns!
Look at these cookies from Sharon of The Plaid Cookie Company! Incredible detail and my son would flip over that turkey with candy corn on it!
Now these are ingenious! Michelle of Frosting-Cakes & Cookies didn't have a turkey cutter available. Can you guess what she used? I wouldn't have figured it out if she didn't tell me it wasn't a turkey. It's a baseball mitt! How cool and creative is that!
Here's another maize cookie, gosh I want to make one! This one is from Alyse of B.E. Sweet Treats. I always love all her cookies. She does beautiful work.
Here's another creative baker. Guess what she used as icing? Nicole from SugarMomma's Custom Cakes, Cupcakes, Cookies used white chocolate as her icing on these shortbread cookies. What a cool idea huh!
I received a special cookie picture from my friend Lene of Not Your Everyday Cookie with these GORGEOUS Thanksgiving/Fall cookies. I'm so sorry that I didn't find them earlier in my email box. After the computer issues I had this week, I'm still wading through over 200 emails. Thanks for playing Lene and I'm sorry that I didn't see your email earlier!
Here is my first pass at Fall cookies for our cookie challenge. I will be making more this week for Thanksgiving, but I didn't get a chance to make more for the challenge. Hubby loves the huge acorn with lots of sanding sugar :-) from Cristin's Cookies
and lastly here are the Fall cookie tags that I made to share with y'all. Enjoy! Just click on the picture below and it will take you to Box.net to download your own copy.
If you don't know some of the cookiers that are above, remember that you can always download my copy of my cookier friends here and like them on Facebook.

Thanks everyone for playing in our Cookie Challenge!
