Bicycle Cookies from Two Different Bicycle Cookie Cutters

This week I made my very favorite cookies EVER. Today you get to see a few, but there are lots more to come. First off I made bicycles, lots and lots of bicycles. I wish I had taken a photo of the entire table of bicycles, but I forgot. I have three bicycle cookie cutters. The first one I bought was from Foose Cookie Cutters. It's a nice size and a great cutter, but there is a large dip between the two wheels, so I worried that they wouldn't ship well and these were going to my friend in Southern California, so I wanted a cutter that was more solid in form. I contacted eCrandal and asked if they would consider making me some specialty cycling cookie cutters and I sent them some designs. They were busy and I wasn't sure if they were going to make them, so I ordered the bicycle cookie cutter and a few others from Copper Gifts. Then eCrandal came through with my wish list of cutters (yay!), so I bought both and now have 3 bicycle cookie cutters. I'll show you the comparison toward the end since several of you have asked me as you are shopping for your own bicycle cookie cutter.

I made a whole rainbow of bicycles. Yes, I was seriously in heaven making these cookies. Just wait til you see my other new cutters. IN LOVE.
 Lots of RED bicycle cookies
and almost my favorite, PINK bicycles. You'll see why these are only my almost favorite at the bottom
ORANGE bicycles
and YELLOW bicycles
GREEN bicycles
BLUE bicycles
and PURPLE bicycles that never photograph as purple. They always look blue on photos, but they were super pretty purple. You'll have to trust me on this.
Here is the comparison of my two new bicycle cookie cutters. As you can see they are VERY close and both are beautiful and I'm in love with both of them equally. Can you tell the differences? The eCrandal cutter has a pronounced pedal design. The Copper Gifts cutter saddle is more pronounced. That's really about the only difference in the two cutters. Oh and yes, THIS was my favorite color of all the bicycle cookies... the pink & lime green.
You already knew why right... ;-)

So I had a TON of fun making bicycles cookies, but even MORE fun with the cookies that are coming up next! I'm so excited to show you. I'm having trouble with the photos. I bought this big black platter just for photographing cookies and the darn thing is too shiny and because of the glare, it isn't going to work for my purpose. I wish I had realized that before taking all the photos, especially now that the cookies are gone... argh!

Oh and this week I ordered new labels from Sticker Divas Etsy Shop. Jeanne was a true joy to work with. Check it out:
Excited to show you the next cookies...

and for those that missed the fun background of these cycling cookies

    1. ha ha, you're right Paula, I tend to go a little overboard and generally only do things in a BIG way. My next few cookie ideas will be smaller though. I promise. Well after tomorrow's post anyway ;-)

  8. These are awesome bike cookies! I'm embarking on some bicycles today but I don't have either of these awesome cutters. I'm just doing ovals and piping them on. I can only hope they are half as cute as these!
