Flowers for my Princesses

I had a rough night last night. I'll tell you about it in a couple days when I post pictures of the Alice in Wonderland cookies that I made. But for now, I have flower cookies for my princesses. I'm part of an online group of cookie decorators that I just love. We talk about cookie decorating and kids and friendship and life. Last night was just a rough evening and I felt like someone punched me in the gut and knocked the wind out of me. We all have those days right? Well I opened up to my cookie princesses and they rallied around me and gave words of encouragement and support.

Husbands are great for so many things, but we need our girls for comfort and support and they were there for me and understood what I was feeling. So for each of you, my cookie friends, I send you a virtual flower of love and thanks and to all my cookie friends through this blog, flower cookies for you too :-)

 Pointed Daisy
 Large Daisy
 Sunflower
My version of a daffodil. Sorry, I don't know flowers at all. After I made this, my daughter quickly pointed out that it was supposed to be yellow. I like to add pink to most things ;-)
I showed this a couple days ago, but just want to make sure you saw it. Easy way to add a stick to your cookies without having to make them extra thick and bake the stick into it.

 Easy peasy right?
To the Cookie Princesses and to all my cookier friends, thanks for joining me in this cookie adventure and for all the support!

and in case you missed all the gorgeous flower cookies from Hani's Smell The Flowers virtual party, make sure to click on this picture to be directed to 19 different tutorials on flower cookies.

  2. I second what Stephanie said. You are a great person and you make amazing cookies! For not knowing flowers you sure did do a great job. I also love the cookie stick tip. I have made a few cookie bouquets and they stressed me out because the sticks would come out or the cookies would break. Now that I see this method I think I may try my hand at bouquets again. It seems so much easier. Thanks for being you and for being a friend :).(the Golden Girls theme just started playing in my head...ha...lol)

  4. Cristin,

I just saw this post because I was stressing about making lollipop cookies for a customer. I asked our fellow CP's if they remember seeing a post about doing these. Kim sent me this link and this is the first time I saw this post. All I can say is this...I feel equally blessed to have met you and all the CP's. I feel Ive learned so much from all of you. I know whenever I need advice or just need to vent after a bad day, you all are there to give support and it really means a lot!

Thanks for this tutorial.....You saved me from the frustration of baking them with the stick in! Your flowers are amazing!
