Holy Communion Cookies

I am so behind on showing you cookies. I have lots and lots that I've decorated recently and haven't posted yet. I was so busy in May with graduation, that I missed a lot. Let me start by saying that I hope all the moms had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day last month! As mothers you put your children as top priority, you love unconditionally and show it often and most importantly, you teach your children how to become independent, capable, loving, giving young men and women. Being a mom is, without a doubt, the hardest job you'll ever have and eventually the most rewarding job you'll ever have. I know that, at times, it doesn't feel that way when they are still learning or when they are teenagers, but when they cross over to young adults, you get to see that they really do remember every single thing you ever taught them. It's amazing. My baby girl is 28 years old and my constant reminder of how quickly childhood goes and how quickly they are out leading their own lives. Soak every minute of it up.

I made cookies for a little girl that was celebrating her First Holy Communion. I was really happy with how these turned out.

I had a wonderful 68-mile bike ride today. At mile 3 of the ride, I got a flat tire. My third flat tire in 3 days! Even though my friends said that I should be able to get more mileage out of my tire, I felt it was time to replace the tire since it had many cuts in it and obviously was causing issues. So we rode back to the start of the ride (the tire hadn't gone completely flat yet so I could ride a bit on it) and thankfully I had put a new tire in my cycling bag and so I was able to replace it. I'm really glad that I didn't give up because it turned out to be a wonderful bike ride with a strong breeze that cooled us off. It was a great day on the bike.
