You know the song, "Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree"... well today we have Christmas tree cookies. Lots of Christmas tree cookies. I only made two designs this year, but I made a whole bunch of them.
Are you ready for Christmas? I'm not. At all. I usually try to have all my Christmas shopping done by Thanksgiving. I am not a shopper. I mean, really not a shopper. I hate shopping. I'd much rather be spending time out on my bicycle or decorating cookies.
This year I fell really behind. I did some shopping online, but for those that I didn't know what I wanted to get for them, I had trouble knowing what to search for and it seemed to be taking longer than if I just went shopping.
So yesterday my daughter, my granddaughter and I went out and braved the crowds. I can't imagine doing it without Mellissa. She is my little angel and kept me calm while people were pushing into us. I hate shopping.
We went to the busiest mall and the bummer is that I still came up short. I have a few people on my gift giving list that are IMPOSSIBLE to shop for.
So late last night I baked 74 MORE cookies. They will get cookies. I know everyone loves cookies and they always appreciate them, but after how many I made in the last two weeks, buying a gift would have been a lot easier and less time consuming. But it is what it is.
So I made my very own cookie cutters and they will receive cookies that no one else has. That will make them extra special. I have a lot of cookie decorating to do tonight, so I better get back to it.
I hope you and your families have a WONDERFUL Christmas filled with love and joy and peace!
Remember I told you my Nicky is sick? He has Mono. He is home from college for a month and I'm trying to get him well. Eddie is helping me by keeping him down ;-)
Good boy Eddie!
I received a package in the mail the other day from my cookie friend, Aymee, at Wacky Cookies! What a sweetie huh! Excited for Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!
