Working Toward A Tassel

I'm finally getting a chance to post my graduation cookies! My son should be graduating in April if all goes according to plan. Cross your fingers! He is working so hard. He received notification the other day that one of his elective classes has been changed and now it won't count as an elective. Or something like that. Anyway, he had to go around to various teachers to get a form signed otherwise he would be a class short. Really?! Thankfully he jumped on it and seems to have the necessary paperwork in to the necessary people. Phew. Just a few more months to go and hopefully no more surprises! I made these cookies for a graduation at Saint Francis and Bellarmine last spring. During the graduation month, my house turns into a conveyor belt of cookies and no sleep.

That platter picture above doesn't look so bad does it? Well how about this one below? Yep, graduation is a crazy busy time for cookie orders.
I started with some grad caps. You can get the cookie cutter HERE
and my customer wanted them white because Saint Francis high school has white caps & gowns with their school colors of brown and gold.

and then I made some graduation gown cookies. I love this cutter. It is one of my favorites. You can get the cookie cutter HERE
and made them white with their signature gold trim and added candy trim

aren't they so pretty, especially when there are a ton of them...
and then I needed to work on some Bellarmine graduation caps too. Again you can get the cookie cutter HERE
and I added in some diplomas. I love these with the big bow. You can get the graduation diploma with bow cookie cutter HERE

and since it's Bellarmine, they must have some Belllarmine Bells cookies too :)
and here's a photo of both the Saint Francis grad cookies and the Bellarmine grad cookies
If you're a cookie decorator then graduation season is probably your most busy time of year. My cookie schedule actually books a full year in advance for the month of May!
